Unscripted Sketches #48

Spring fever has set in and thus the lack of posts lately. The weather has been just gorgeous and it has been so nice to open the house up and let the fresh air in! I have lots of spring cleaning to get done both inside and out, but hope to squeeze in some creative time.

Tonight, I did a layout based on this week's Unscripted Sketches #48. I used CTMH's "Tinkerin" paper pack and stickease. The handsome young man is my grandson, Matthew.

Unscripted Sketches #45

Today's card was made using CTMH's stamp set "Treasure Life". It is based on Unscripted Sketches #45. I used textured cardstock for my base. On the right side I did the leaves with Versamark and chalk. Then I overstamped the sentiment with Olive ink. The left side was stamped using Olive, Sorbet and Cre'me Brulee ink and then I painted over it with pearl paint to give it a watercolor effect. I added the ribbon and chipboard buckle and popped it with foam squares. All supplies available from CTMH.
Thanks for looking. Hope you have a great weekend!

Unscripted Sketches #44

This card is based on this week's sketch from Unscripted Sketches. I am trying to use up some of my older paper packs. Of course, everytime I try to do this, I seem to get reattached to them and don't want to see them go. How silly is that! I guess I will have to start using them more for scrapbook pages rather than cards. That way, I can go visit my old friends in my scrapbook. LOL!
The stamp set used is CTMH - "Beloved". The paper is CTMH - Floral Impressions (retired).

Unscripted Sketches #43

This is a fun, quick card that I made based on this week's Unscripted Sketches #43. I love using these sketches as a jumping off point, and really enjoyed the added color challenge this week.
I used CTMH's "Animal Cookies" paper and stickease for this card. The stamped sentiment is from "Life's a Jungle".

Unscripted Sketches #41

Here is my card based on this week's US sketch #41. I used CTMH's "You Rock" paper pack. The stamp set used is "Star Power" (D1403). Colors I chose to use are, Outdoor Denim, Crystal Blue, Sunflower and Olive.
Wishing everyone a great week! Be a star!

Unscripted Sketches #40

This card is based on this week's Unscripted Sketches #40. I love the image of the flowers, it is from Close to my Heart's set called "Enjoy Every Moment". I stamped and then dry embossed the image to make the flowers pop out, then colored them with pastels. The patterned paper is from the "Bella" paper pack and the base of the card is textured cardstock in New England Ivy.
If you're not familar with Close to my Heart's textured cardstock, you should give it a try. It is like getting two for one; since the back side is a lighter shade of the front. I used the lighter shade of this one in the strip down the right side.
February will be a great time to try out this great cardstock, because Close to my Heart is offering Buy One Get One Free! From February 1-28, 2010, 12 x 12 textured cardstock combo packs are not only buy one get one free, but for every offer purchased, CTMH will donate $2.00 to Operation Smile's Haiti relief efforts. How great is that?

Unscripted Sketches #38

Here is my take on this week's Unscripted sketch #38. Lots of sparkle on this one. I embossed the cupcake cup and sprinkles, and the sentiment. Added glitter, pearl paint to the flower, sparkles and even a glitter brad.

Now I have to just find a sparkly, girly gift to go with it!

A Little Halloween Fun

I just received some of my new Close to my Heart products and just couldn't wait to use them. One of the stamp sets I got, is a new Halloween set called "Spellbound". For this weeks Unscripted Sketches 19 design, I used the Spellbound set, except for the moon. Even though Spellbound has one, I used the one from October Word Puzzle which is bigger. The tree, (which I love) bats and moon were all embossed. Other products used are: patterned paper, Pinecone Press and embossing powder from Sparkle and Sprinkle.

Well, the summer is over for me. Tomorrow I head back to work, so I won't get to play with the rest of my goodies for awhile. Oh well, that's what weekends are for I guess. : )

Unscripted Sketches #18

Last night, I got a chance to have some creative therapy time at my niece's house. Thanks, Meg! As much as I enjoy working on papercraft projects anytime, it is always so nice to be able to share the fun with others!

I worked on several little projects. This one is a card based on Unscripted Sketches Sketch it Saturdays # 18. I made this card using Close to my Heart's "Animal Cookies" paper and the "It's a Zoo" stamp set. Love this paper for all kinds of kids projects!
